SafeAds Privacy Policy

SafeAds is a browser extension that helps users review advertising campaign settings and detect possible configuration issues before publishing or modifying campaigns.

Data We Collect

SafeAds may collect and process the following data:

  • Account information: email address, full name, role, and agency name associated with the authenticated SafeAds account.
  • Authentication data: session tokens used to keep the user signed in.
  • Advertising campaign data: campaign name, advertising account ID, budget type, daily budget, total budget, currency, start date, and end date.
  • Website content: limited content from supported advertising platforms, such as form values and labels needed to validate campaign settings.

SafeAds does not collect health information, personal communications, payment card numbers, passwords, browsing history, screenshots, screen recordings, or precise location data.

How We Use Data

We use the data only to:

  • Authenticate the user.
  • Display the correct SafeAds account and agency context.
  • Validate advertising campaign settings.
  • Show warnings, recommendations, or findings inside the extension.

SafeAds shares data only with the services required to operate the product:

  • SafeAds backend services, used to validate campaign settings and return findings.
  • Supabase, used for authentication and session management.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers used to run the SafeAds dashboard and backend.

We do not sell user data. We do not use user data for advertising. We do not transfer user data to third parties for purposes unrelated to SafeAds functionality.

Remote Code

SafeAds does not execute remote JavaScript or WebAssembly code. All executable extension code is included in the extension package. External network requests are used only for authentication and backend API communication.

Data Storage

Authentication session data and basic extension preferences may be stored locally in the browser using Chrome extension storage.

Campaign data is processed only as needed to validate campaign settings. SafeAds does not store screenshots or screen recordings.

User Control

Users can stop using the extension at any time by signing out, disabling the extension, or uninstalling it from Chrome.

Security

We use authentication tokens and HTTPS connections to protect communication between the extension and SafeAds services.
